Femoral Neuropathy and Retroperitoneal Hemorrhage

Abstract

Abstract A case of femoral neuropathy secondary to psoas muscle hematoma in a patient on warfarin sodium anticoagulation therapy is presented. Computed tomography was used to establish the diagnosis. The literature is reviewed with regard to the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and therapy of this case. Surgical decompression is suggested to shorten the recovery period and minimize residual neurological deficit.
