1. Time-dependent spectral shift (TDSS) is also known as the time-dependent red shift, time-dependent Stokes shift, fluorescence dynamic Stokes shift, and dynamic Stokes shift. As outlined in Appendix A (seeSupporting Information), the Stokes shift is either time-invariant or it is a function of two different times. Furthermore, the TDSS can be both the red shift and the blue shift. For these reasons we prefer the term time-dependent spectral shift.
