Abstract
Dysfunctional children are known to have negative effects on parents. The present study investigated whether such children affect parents' attitudes towards life and death. Attitudes of a sample of 21 parents of mildly dysfunctional children were compared to those of parents of nondysfunctional children. The results gave little support to the hypothesis that dysfunctional children make life less attractive and death more attractive for their parents.
