Abstract
The Revolutionary War encampment at Valley Forge has been subjected to a number of excavations since the creation of the park in the late nineteenth century. This paper describes the important excavations conducted in 1972 and 1973 along the Outer Line Drive by the William Penn Memorial Museum, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Seventeen huts and a number of artifacts dating from the Revolutionary War period were recorded and excavated. This information is discussed in relation to its importance for Revolutionary War studies.
