Abstract
A newspaper written by and for residents of a home for the aged can provide a useful vehicle for the exercise of independent thinking within a rule-oriented and dependency-fostering environment. The development of a residents' newspaper is described from the standpoint of a volunteer coordinator, based upon three years of experience in a 475-bed facility.
