Abstract
The object of this paper is to complete the previous notes on the input limits of X-ray generators. It deals essentially with the “line focus” on a moving and on a stationary target.
Energy Density in the Focus
. The target is assumed to be a large mass of metal with an infinite plane surface. The small area which is bombarded by the rays is called the focus. The temperature gradient normal to the plane surface is zero at any point in this surface with the exception of the focus. The other boundaries of the target are at distances which are large compared with the focus dimensions.
