(3), we calculate the two-body decay widths of the lowest sub-multiplets, where the couplings are invariant under the collinear group

(2). A simplified model of octet–octet mixing is considered, which generally demonstrates the importance of mixing in controlling decay widths. Mass splitting is accounted for by using average
SU
(6) masses (for a given orbital excitation) in the couplings and physical masses to calculate the phase space factors of the decays.
