Abstract
The cross-section of the production of mesons in collisions between electrons and nuclei is calculated. It is assumed that the electrons interact with the nucleons through the electromagnetic field. The results are given for the case of pseudoscalar mesons. It is found that for electrons of energy 300 MeV the cross-section is 2 x 10
-30
cm.
