Abstract
The specific heats of ‘natural’ lithium (predominantly
7
Li) and of lithium containing 99.3 %
6
Li have been determ ined from 0.4 to 1.5 °K. There is no significant difference in the electronic specific heats, the coefficient of this term being about 390
u
cal °K
-2
g atom
-1
(163 mJ °K
-2
g atom
-1
). The significance of this result is discussed.
