Abstract
The electron spin resonance spectra of the
ortho
,
meta
and
para
fluoronitrobenzene anions in aqueous alcohol solutions exhibit large linewidth variations. The dominant relaxation term involves the inner product of the fluorine and nitrogen anisotropic hyperfine interaction tensors. Detailed analysis reveals that it is possible to estimate the principal components of the
g
tensor for the
para
fluoro derivative.
