Abstract
It has been found that nitric oxide is an effective homogeneous catalyst for the recombination of atomic hydrogen and hydroxyl radicals in fuel-rich flames of hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen at atmospheric pressure. The results are consistent with the mechanism H + NO +
