Abstract
In this paper the object has been to obtain data as to the dissolved constituents of sweat collected from the human body, and at the same time to endeavour to distinguish what is secreted by the sweat-glands from what is derived from the general surface of the skin. The experiments were carried out, as previously, in connection with the experimental chamber of the Mining Research Laboratory, University of Birmingham, and mainly during the author’s tenure of the Tyndall Studentship. One of the subjects (A. H. H.) was a medical student of good physique who was known to sweat much more freely than the average individual.
