Abstract
This is a specimen of intuitionist recasting of topology, and in particular an illustration of the consequences of the invalidity of the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem in intuitionism, for the validity of the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem would make the classical and intuitionist forms of fixed-point theorems equivalent.
