Abstract
Ag nanowires (Ag NWs) with different diameters were successfully synthesized by polyol reduction method. The Ag NWs’ size was controlled by the chloride concentration in the reaction system (0.12 g/mL–1/1.5/2 mL for samples 1, 2 and 3, respectively).
The Ag NW samples were fully characterized by SEM and PXRD analyses. The biological activity of Ag NWs 1–3 for the treatment of traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage complicated disease was evaluated, and the mechanism was discussed. First, the inhibitory activity of Ag NWs 1–3
on the levels of S100 and VEGF in serum was examined via ELISA detection. Real-time RT-PCR assay was subsequently used to test the activation for the NF-κB signaling pathway in brain tissue after treatment with the compound.
