Abstract

ne of the priority direction of national medicine at this moment is Informatization (IT-technology). The most promising task is to use information and computer support in a comprehensive system of diagnostic examination of patients with cleft lip and palate for its subsequent integration into a complex of rehabilitation measures, including the participation of specialists in various fields (psychologist, pediatrician, surgeon, orthodontist, speech therapist, etc.). The purpose of the study was to offer a web-application that allows doctors of related specialties to determine the tactics of interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment. Based on more than 20 years of experience in clinical and scientific observations in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate, a web-application “ADI” (Application of Digital Imaging) has been developed. The web-application “ADI” is a system for processing and storing information for rehabilitation of patients with cleft lip and palate by type of pathology and age, which allows doctors to get structured information about the stages of conducting the necessary methods of interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment. One of the main advantages of creating a web-application ” ADI ” is the ability to quickly exchange information between specialists in various fields of knowledge. This comprehensive information is the basis for combining scientific ideas and sharing the experience of various specialists, thus making it possible to create a unified system of interdisciplinary rehabilitation of children with congenital maxillofacial pathology.
