Abstract
We present the first record of Otopheidomenidae Treat in Central Asia on the basis of a new ectoparasitic species, Nabiseius palifer Joharchi and Khaustov n. sp., collected on damsel bug, Nabis palifer Seidenstücker (Hemiptera: Nabidae), from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The new species is described and illustrated based on morphological characters of the adult female and immature stages (including larva and deutonymphal stages) and compared with closely related species.
