Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the main concepts and theories regarding the origin of the Eneolithic cultures of the Danube-Carpathian region, in particular on the example of the study of the archeological assemblages of the Boian culture. The Boian culture is one of the most famous and detailed cultures of the Eneolithic, which flourished more than 7 thousand years ago. The article examines various concepts that help to establish possible ways of development of Boian culture, its features and interaction with other cultures of that period. The further study of complexes can contribute to a better understanding of the early stages of the development of society in the Danube-Carpathian region and make a significant contribution to the study of the ancient cultures of this region.
