The Concept of Creative Capital: from Elitism to Universality

Abstract

Development of the creative capital concept and its increasing importance in the modern context are investigated. It is emphasized that the creative capital, which integrates creative and innovative thinking of a person, is becoming a pivotal factor in forming the present-day economy. The evolu-tion of this concept was traced — from assigning the creative abilities to a narrow stratum of the creative class to recognising a fact that any person can possess them, provided they are appropriately developed, including with the aid of the digital technologies. It is emphasized that creation of such spaces as CreaTech, which ensure cohesion of creativity and technological advancements, fosters the formation of creative capital and innovative development
