Abstract
AbstractFor the period of ca. 2500 to 1700 B.C. a three-phase sequence in the development of twined cotton textiles is outlined. The phases represent divisions of a gradual change from the use of single-warp twining to the use of plural-warp twining as revealed in recent excavation at five sites in the Ancón-Chillón area of coastal Peru.
