Abstract

With the discovery of quantum Hall effect by Prof. Von Klitzing leading to Nobel Prize in 1985[1], there has been extensive interest in the thermoelectric power (TP) of various technologically important low dimensional compounds. In this paper an attempt is made to investigate the TP in Heavily Doped Nano Wires (HDNWs) of different bio-sensing materials together with the relative comparison of the said transport features with that of the HDNW compounds. The TP increases with increasing n0 in oscillatory ways. The most important realization is that the quantum signature in this case is not only totally different but also the variations of the said electronic quantity as compared with that of HDNWs of different compounds excluding bio-materials are also different.
