1. Suzanne Bleker trained as a medical doctor at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) and received her MD in 2011. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Department of Vascular Medicine at the Academic Medical Center (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). Her research is focused on different aspects of thrombosis in various patient groups, including pregnant patients and cancer patients.
2. Nick van Es trained as a medical doctor at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and received his MD in 2012. Currently, he is a PhD student in the Department of Vascular Medicine at the Academic Medical Center. His research is focused on different aspects of venous thrombosis in various patient groups, including pregnant patients and cancer patients.
3. Saskia Middeldorp is Professor and Co-Chair of the Department of Vascular Medicine of the Academic Medical Center. She leads the residency program of vascular medicine and the clinical thrombosis and hemostasis research lines of the department. Her present research focuses on several aspects of hereditary and acquired thrombophilia, women’s issues in thrombosis and hemostasis, and the clinical evaluation of new anticoagulants.
