1. Nigel T Lewis is a specialty registrar in cardiology at Leeds General Infirmary (UK) with specialist interest in heart failure, devices and inherited cardiac conditions. He completed his undergraduate training at The University of Manchester (UK), and is now undertaking a PhD at The University of Leeds (UK).

2. Shanmugakumar Chinnappa is a specialty registrar in nephrology at Sheffield Kidney Institute (UK) with a specialist interest in the cardio-renal syndrome. He graduated from Stanley Medical College (India). He is currently conducting research in uraemic cardiomyopathy at Leeds Teaching Hospitals as a step towards developing a career which brings together cardiology and nephrology.

3. Gerald Partridge is a general practitioner with a specialist interest in cardiology based in Keighley, West Yorkshire (UK) and a part-time cardiology specialty doctor at Leeds Teaching Hospitals focusing on cardiopulmonary exercise testing and echocardiography. He graduated from Oxford (UK) in chemistry, physiology and medicine.

4. Lip-Bun Tan is a consultant cardiologist at Leeds General Infirmary (UK) with special interest in heart failure and pathophysiology of heart diseases. He graduated from Cambridge Medical School (UK) and completed his DPhil research in Oxford University (UK). His main contribution to cardiology is solving the century-old problem of how best to evaluate cardiac (dys)function. He has served in committees tasked with drafting clinical guidelines on the management of heart failure.
