Abstract
Maciej Lesniak is director of the Brain Tumor Center at the University of Chicago Hospitals, a multidisciplinary group of physicians dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients with brain tumors. The center provides a comprehensive approach to patient management and offers the newest, most innovative therapies. In addition, the center actively participates in NIH-sponsored clinical trials. Dr Lesniak's research interests include gene therapy and immunotherapy of brain tumors. He is an active scholar who regularly publishes primary research articles and book chapters regarding the treatment of adult brain tumors. Dr Lesniak is a frequent speaker at numerous national and international conferences. His research has been funded by the American Brain Tumor Association, American Cancer Society and the NIH.
