1. Ferdinand Roelfsema received his MD and PhD from the Leiden University, Leiden, The Netherlands. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, The Netherlands, and was appointed to Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. After retirement in 2001, he served as Senior Clinical Researcher of the Leiden University. His main interests are pituitary diseases, pituitary hormone regulation and circadian rhythms.
2. Nienke R Biermasz is a Clinical Endocrinologist and Researcher at the Leiden University Medical Center. She received her MD and PhD from the Leiden University. Her main interests are clinical care of patients with pituitary disorders, especially patients with acromegaly. Her current research interests focus on the long-term consequences of pituitary hormone excess syndromes.
