1. Ablajan Mahmut is a PhD student at the Laboratoire d’Études Moléculaires des Valvulopathies at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute, Laval University (Canada). He received his medical degree in 2006 at the University of Xinjiang (Ürümqi, China). His research project is to investigate the role of lipid-derived products and the intracellular signaling pathway leading to aortic valve mineralization.
2. Patrick Mathieu is a scientist and heart surgeon at the Québec Heart and Lung Institute and Associate Professor at the University Laval and Director of the Laboratoire d’Études Moléculaires des Valvulopathies.
