1. Ana Lourenço Almeida holds a BSc degree in biomedical sciences and is a PhD student in the Group of Cancer Biology at the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto (IPATIMUP), Portugal. Her main research focuses on establishing a transgenic zebrafish model as an approach to study thyroid disease.
2. Paula Boaventura has a BSc in biology, a Masters in immunology and a PhD in biomedical science. She has been teaching for most of her career and holds a postdoctoral position at IPATIMUP since 2007. She has been working with a tinea capitis cohort, who were submitted in childhood to x-ray treatment to induce scalp epilation.
3. Paula Soares is Assistant Professor of Biopathology at the Medical Faculty at the University of Porto. She coordinates the Group of Cancer Biology at IPATIMUP. Her main interests include cell biology, genetics and molecular pathology of thyroid and neuroendocrine tumors.
