1. Norihiko Yokoi is Associate Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (Japan). His research is focused on the clinical aspects and mechanisms of dry eye, as well as the development of noninvasive diagnostic tools for dry eye syndrome. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 scientific publications and book chapters in the field of ophthalmology.

2. Georgi As Georgiev is Associate Professor at St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia (Bulgaria). His research is focused on the surface chemistry of biointerfaces and, in particular, on the characterization of the structure–function relationship of human meibum films, drug–meibum interactions and the surface chemical mechanisms of tear-film stability. He is the coauthor of more than 50 scientific publications and book chapters.
