Abstract
High-frequency limits of an oscillating body without forward speed are examined. Some previously known yet unexploited formulas based on the Kramers-Kronig relations are applied to Hulme's results for a heaving and swaying sphere in the free surface to give the high-frequency limit and asymptotic behavior of the added mass coefficients.
