Abstract

Objective: We aimed to examine the relationship between the presence of suicidal ideation and attempt history and maladaptive schemas in individuals with major depressive disorder. Materials and methods: The experimental group consisted of 28 individuals were diagnosed with major depressive disorder, had a history of suicide attempt and active suicidal ideation. 26 individuals who did not have active suicidal ideation and any history of suicide attempt constitute the control group. Sociodemographic data form, Beck Anxiety Scale, Beck Depression Scale, Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale and Young Schema Scale-Short Form-3 were administered to the participants.
