FUNDAMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY PROBLEMS IN JEWELLERY MADE OF CONVENTIONAL MATERIALS

Abstract

This study aims to determine the place of jewellery made of conventional materials within the scope of “sustainability” movement that has to be spotted and which involves every single individual on earth. In this study, in order to make jewellery sustainable, existing problems starts with mining process and continues with production have exposed and several solutions that are already being performed are exemplified with various sustainable jewellery brands. Furthermore, sources involve data on sustainability and jewellery connection compiled, and online presentations, meetings, talks and interviews have been scanned. In light of this information, within this study it’s aimed to lead future-proof practices to make jewellery sustainable as a product. Sustainability problems on jewellery production and some solutions that are already performed and have to be prevalent are passed along.
