Abstract

The article presents a solution to an equation describing the processes of filling depressions with water in the relief of formation and ancient transgressive seas. A model has been developed for the course of the sea level during the creation of the sea and during its drying up. The graphs of the course of the level of the Sarmatian and early Khvalynian Caspian seas are presented. It is shown that the ancient Caspian seas had an upper boundary during transgression and a lower one during regression.
