Transformation of Logistics Activities under the Conditions of Digitalization

Abstract

The article examines the issue of logistics activity transformation in a theoretical aspect. The definitions of “transformation”, “logistics activity” are considered based on the definition of their essence from the point of view of philosophy, economics and sociology. It is stated that the transformation of logistics activity is a multifaceted process that changes rapidly, but it is subject to the laws of social development and is based on the understanding of such concepts as “change”, “process”, “development”, “content” and “form”. Explanations of the specified terms are provided. The essential basis for the transformation of logistics activities to ensure the efficiency of logistics management and controllability of logistics activities in constantly changing conditions is highlighted and proposed. Issues of logistics service quality assurance are outlined. The directions of transformation of logistics activities in the conditions of digitalization are considered.
