Are Therapists Preparing Brain Injury Survivors for Community Reintegration After Insurance Discharge?

Abstract

Abstract Date Presented 04/01/2022 This study determined the need for community reintegration resources for clients with acquired brain injury (ABI) after insurance discharge. Results showed that (1) community integration is an ongoing struggle, (2) lack of educational materials and access to care is a barrier, and (3) increased support and follow-up are needed.
