Abstract
É apresentada uma breve revisão salientando a influência do ambiente sobre o desenvolvimento da planta da batata. Temperatura, fotoperíodo e luminosidade afetam o desenvolvimento da parte aérea, partição da matéria seca, florescimento e rendimento. Também é abordado o efeito das propriedades do solo e água. O rendimento depende da interação dos vários fatores ambientais.
