Abstract
SummaryLittle information is available that can be used with confidence to construct a Triassic time-scale. The base of the system is variously dated in the range 220 to 238 m.y.; the age of the boundary with the Jurassic is also uncertain, but may be placed at about 190 to 200 m.y Apart from a Russian determination giving a minimum age of 200 m.y. for the Middle Triassic, the only radiometric data available are for the Upper Triassic.
