Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of prospects and trends in the use of big data.
The features of big data that affect the forms, methods, and tools for using big data are considered. It is shown that the use of big data extends both to traditional industries and serves as the basis for the functioning of new industries that unite digital enterprises. It is shown that the use of big data is a source of modernization of public administration, due to which there is a delegation of bureaucratic functions to digital technologies, ensuring the observability of socio-economic processes and planning social development. Trends in the use of big data in the Russian Federation and the United States are noted.
