Abstract
Currently, ecosystems are very deteriorated and large amounts of agrochemicals are applied to food for human consumption, which causes environmental and health problems in the society that consumes a diet based on food with agrochemicals, so a process of reflection-action about the use of agroecosystem services and build sustainable agrifood strategies in agricultural production systems. Agroecosystems constitute domesticated production units and interaction of all its components to generate flows of matter and energy. The sustainable appropriation of agroecosystems generates a healthy production of food that will improve people's health and protect the environment. The objective of the study was to identify and analyze sustainable agri-food strategies in the Frailesca region, Chiapas in the face of environmental deterioration of biosphere ecosystems. Through tours with instruments of geographic information systems, surveys and semi-structured interviews, we worked with peasant families that develop agroecological practices. The information obtained was organized, systematized and analyzed in Microsoft Access and the SAS version 27 software. Four sustainable strategies developed by peasant families, who use various agroecological fertilizers for production in the four micro-regions of the municipality of Villaflores, were identified and analyzed. Of the strategies mostly practiced by peasant families, there is corn interspersed with fruit trees, family gardens and agrosilvopastoral systems.
