Abstract

This study aims at showing the application of transfer technology based on computerized video analysis in the improvement of learning the elements in women’s artistic gymnastics. This scientific approach led to an experimental study organized during the period 2012 – 2014 with 14 female athletes of 12 to 15 years old, members of junior national team of Romania. Methods of research: computerized video analysis, using the specialized programs -”Kinovea” and ”Physics ToolKit”; method of movement postural orientation for the analysis of sports technique key elements; statistical method (KyPlot) and the method of results graphical representation. During the study there were analyzed, in terms of biomechanics, a number of 125 technical elements executed in three national competitions, namely: 36 Yurchenko-type handspring vaults; 32 dismounts off uneven bars by double back salto; 22 dismounts off balance beam by layout salto with 360°-1080° turn and double back salto and 35 acrobatic elements on the floor with double back salto. The computerized video analysis, made according to the specific character of each apparatus, highlighted the key elements of sports technique regarding the preparatory phase – the launching posture, the basic phase – multiplication of body posture / position (tucked, pike or layout) and the final phase – concluding posture – landing. The study results point out the efficient application of transfer technology (vertical, horizontal and mixed one) and its influence on the improvement of learning the elements on each apparatus of women’s artistic gymnastics. The development of long-term programs by means of didactical technologies within the macro-methods for elements learning contributed to the improvement and increase of difficulty and also to the possibility to use them on other apparatus of women’s artistic gymnastic in order to achieve better performances in competitions.
