Abstract

On January 18, 2024, a commemorative plaque dedicated to Prof. was unveiled. Władysław Natanson, co-organizer and first president of the Polish Physical Society (1920-1922). The ceremony was attended by, among others: prof. Piotr Kuśtrowski, vice-rector of the Jagiellonian University, prof. Teresa Rząca-Urban, president of the PTF, prof. Bogdan Kowalski, secretary of the PTF Board, prof. Ewa Brocławik, director of the 3rd Faculty of the Polish Academy of Sciences, prof. Ewa Gudowska-Nowak, dean of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University, prof. Wojciech Macyk, dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University, members of the Management Board of the Krakow Branch of the PTF, as well as descendants of prof. Natanson and numerous guests. After unveiling the plaque, a memorial lecture was delivered by prof. Józef Spałek.
