Paving the way to wastewater purification via constructed wetland

Abstract

Constructed wetlands (CWs) are a most important nature-based technology for wide range of wastewater treatment and have been employed worldwide for decades. The treatment efficiency of CWs depends on their configuration and is a function of various parameters including wastewater type, substrate, and operation conditions etc. Optimizing configuration, developing novel operational strategy, and wiser use of treatment process coupled with other system in CW for a better treatment efficiency are always the research topic in R D of CWs. This talk summarizes the series studies with the most recent update of CW development. It is expected that the talk can provide useful information and roadmap of CWs R D and thus help overseeing CWs technology and promoting CW’s further development and application.
