Abstract

Purpose. Substantiation of the structural and kinematic parameters of the components of the disk-type hulling device for hulling of buckwheat grain. Methods. Experimental studies of the process of hulling buckwheat grains using a disk-type hulling device, methods of a planned experiment using the theory of screening experiment, statistical processing of research results on a PC. Results. A disc-type hulling device for hulling buckwheat grain has been developed. The structural parameters of the configuration of the working surfaces of abrasive wheels and their influence on the quality of hulling of buckwheat grain are substantiated. The influence of the rotation frequency of the lower abrasive wheel and the working gaps between the abrasive wheels on the yield of buckwheat grain hulling products was determined. Conclusions. It has been established that the most rational option for the layout of abrasive wheels turned out to be the layout of abrasive wheels, when the upper wheel had a groove on the side surface in the form of a cut cone with a vertex towards the center of the circle with an angle of inclination of the conical surface of 40 degrees and a width of the working chamfer of the side surface of the cone wheel of 12 mm, and the lower circle was used with a flat side surface. A significant influence on the yield of the hulling product of buckwheat grain has an effect on the working gap between the upper and lower abrasive wheels, which is determined separately for each grain fraction, taking into account its dimensional characteristics. Keywords: hulling of buckwheat grain, hulling device, abrasive wheel, hulling products, kernel, ground buckwheat, unhooked grain.
