1. Akira Iriye, Charles Warren Professor of American History at Harvard University, has written widely on the history of international relations and U.S. foreign affairs. His books include “Cultural Internationalism and World Order” (1997), “Japan and the Wider World: From the Mid-Nineteenth Century to the Present” (1997), and “Global Community: The Role of International Organizations in the Making of the Contemporary World” (2002). He has been a Fellow of the American Academy since 1982.
