Abstract
The children are social and Economic assets of a country. They are vulnerable and fragile. They are future builders of our Nation. Nearly one third of our County’s population is population of Children below 18 years. But there is growing incidence of crime against children at an increasing rate. Though there is action against accused but crime detection touches low ratio despite introduction of POCSO, stringent Juvenile Justice Act and opening of special Courts . I could understand plight of children as I have concern and my public activities involved also in the previous days. This present study tries to analyses how media is playing a very predominant role for child right with specific to Odisha. Data has been collected through a structure likert scale questionnaire form 298 respondents by taking 3 years data i.e 2017 to 2020 and analyzed by using statistical techniques i.e factor analysis for the present study. The result revealed that all journalists have supported Child’s Right to Family as it helps a child to grow physically, mentally, socially and psychologically. They have admitted growing incidence against children and their stories are often related to Child’s Right to protection in post incidents.
