Abstract
The computer-assisted language learning (CALL) assessment needs to be evaluated as other technical materials in compliance with the same system norms. The scope and purpose of the research are to benefit the selection of different CALL materials. According to Levy and Stockwell, there are three types of CALL material evaluation: (1) Checklists (2) Methodological framework (3) SLA based language learning approaches. The present study process may refer to three phases such as examining, determining and analyzing. A framework is proposed which includes a common evaluation workflow model for designing and performing CALL evaluations carried out by evaluators in the formal evaluation area. A framework of assessments is proposed.
The following framework is used for evaluating a CALL material: 1. Technical preview 2. Operational description 3. Teacher fit 4. Learner fit 5. Implementation schemes and 6. Appropriateness judgments
