Abstract
There is a tremendous revolution in the education sector around the globe during the recent years. Remote work, not a new word in a few countries earlier, is emerged as a new normal way of working in every corner of the world due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The faculty not only need to adapt to the new ways of teaching but also need to be flexible to the working hours. These circumstances pose challenges such as work-life balance and career management, specifically career commitment on every faculty. The motive of this paper is to study four factors consisting of a total of 24 items and to report the results of a study on the factors that lead to the career commitment of faculty. Exploratory factor analysis that was done on the collected data has identified four significant dimensions, namely employee empowerment, adaptive self-efficacy, adaptive behaviour, and career commitment. Confirmatory factor analysis results have also presented a good model fit in the study. The findings of the results provide insights for the faculty working in educational institutions in enhancing their career commitment through empowerment, adaptive self-efficacy, and adaptability.
