Abstract

While anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder commonly co-occur and have similar symptoms, there are a few key differences that might aid in diagnosis. Anxiety generates incorrect or disproportionate responses to perceived hazards, resulting in anxiety disorders’ persistent and intrusive symptoms, such as panic attacks, phobias, and compulsive behaviours, which can be debilitating.
