Abstract
In this study, a model experiment was conducted to understand the effects of the parameters of the inclined space (cross-sectional aspect ratio and angle of incline) connected to the fire room on the hot gas flow in it. The trend of dimensionless temperature (<i>T*</i>) decrease in the vertical direction of hot gas flow in the inclined space was found to not be related to the width of inclined space in the range of <i>T*</i> > 0.3. Additionally, the trend of temperature decrease in the direction of hot gas flow in the inclined space was found to not be related to the width of the inclined space. Furthermore, a certain temperature decrease trend was observed under each tilt angle.
