Abstract
The need for a standard review of fire prevention and related statutes and human safety protection against fire spread has emerged owing to the recent diversification of fire types and the increase in the scale of damage in the K-industrial complex's electronic parts manufacturing plant. The building law mitigates the installation of fire dampers (FDs) by fixing sprinkler heads to the inside of the exhaust duct that penetrates the fire compartment wall in the electronic components manufacturing plant. However, the clause presents only alternative applicability and does not present any installation criteria. This results in conflicting interpretations between the Fire Protection Act and the Building Act, causing major confusion in the work. Therefore, in this study, three problems of building legal fire-fighting facilities in electronic parts manufacturing plants with special process characteristics were reviewed and analyzed. In addition, performance standards and standards for inspection and maintenance of building-legal firefighting facilities suitable for preventing the spread of flames were presented.
