Abstract
This study investigated the effect of instructions on subjects' accuracy of replacement of felt figures. Replacement-orienting instructions resulted in more accurate replacement than either General-orienting or Vague instructions, and females had less accurate replacement in the Vague condition than did males. The results are discussed in terms of task demands.
