Abstract
Three separate studies of the criterion-related validity of the Quick Test are reported. In all three studies, IQ was measured with Form 2 of the Quick Test; IQs or raw scores were correlated with various variables. In the first study ( N = 65), positive and significant correlations between Quick Test IQs and standardized measures of academic achievement were found. In Study 2 ( N = 164) and 3 ( N = 170), positive and significant correlations were found between Quick Test raw scores and measures of memory performance. Even though this research is based on subjects from a very narrow range of age (5 to 10 yr.), substantial positive correlations were found between Quick Test scores and several variables. It is concluded that these data provide further evidence for the validity of the Quick Test as a test of intelligence.
